ACTS-Aviation Security Inc. has an immediate opening for a Operations Manager at the Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado.

Operations Manager provide oversight to the security operations. Manages plans, organizes and directs the security activities of teams to ensure compliance and efficiency. Develops and maintains strong relationships with the customer and airport staff. Adheres to and promotes ACTS commitment to quality of service, compliance with customer specifications and government agency regulations and focus on safety in the work environment. Represents the Regional Manager during afterhours activities. Accountable for operational and compliance performance of all employees during his/her shift. Defines staffing schedule, manages labor hours to that schedule, works with the scheduler to ensure that the schedule is fully staffed and manages to overtime targets. Implements the ACTS safety program. Oversees and continually develops security staff to include supervisors and guards. Submits shift reports to the Regional Manager. Enforces disciplinary actions Provides coaching, development and performance reviews to subordinate Supervisors and guards. Ensures and maintains all security related records as indicated by the Customer, TSA, and other Governmental entities. First point of contact during a shift in addressing compliance issues raised by customers or TSA, preparing incident reports that ensure problems addressed and reports to the site director. Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Management, Security Management or closely related field. Five (5) years of aviation/security management or similar experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the security or similar field Experience managing in a union environment Preferred, but not required: Federal security experience, i.e. TSA. o Experience in the airline/airport industry. o Security experience, i.e. law enforcement, military police, corporate security, etc. Have sound judgment and integrity managing a large team and have a sense of urgency to respond to personnel and client calls 24 hours a day: Excellent leadership and presentation skills. Strong PC computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with the Internet. Strong customer management and communication skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate internally and externally with disparate groups.
