We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.This position will serve as instructor of record for the three-credit hour, intro course, ENGR 1100: Fundamentals of Computational Innovation. Teaching and curriculum development experience is preferred.

  • Utilize tools and software currently relevant in related professions.

  • Foster an environment that is inclusive to students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Course should utilize open-source tools rather than proprietary software packages. Faculty Skills required:

  • Relevant skills programming in Python

  • Teaching experience focused on student-centered, active learning techniques

  • Ability to convey relevant skill sets to a wide range of disciplines and skill levels

  • Ability to use CU Denver digital tools, such as Canvas (learning management system), Zoom, and OneDrive Course Description: ENGR 1100 provides a foundation in computational thinking and practices. Students learn to take advantage of computational power in problem solving by writing simple programs, studying the underlying logic of hardware, and working with a variety of technologies. Credit hours: 3 Credits.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as Salary for a three-credit course is $5,512-$6,000.The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
