Overview
SUMMARY
Global Management Services, LLC (GMS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking an internal Denver Federal Center contract employee that is qualified for the Grounds Laborer position. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides guidance to laborers, schedules and evaluates daily work performed. Interacts well with customers and fellow employees to create a good working environment. Trains employees on equipment as necessary. Performs a wide variety of tasks, but not limited to mowing, policing, trimming, equipment sign-out sheets, vehicle dispatches, 2404 forms and key log Operates vehicles and equipment safely and properly to comply with all legal and contractual requirements. Performs operator maintenance and safety checks on all vehicles and equipment used. Coordinates projects with and provides daily updates to the Site Supervisor.
Supplementary Functions May Include:
Participation in functional specific training that promotes a safe work environment. May perform duties in lower related job classifications.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Ability to obtain a HDSS vehicle operations license within sixty (60) days of hire Five (5) years experience in grounds maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Must manage multiple tasks. Knowledge of landscaping equipment and operational requirements preferred. Demonstrates qualified skills on all ground's equipment. Performs limited maintenance on vehicles and tools to include checking engine/brakes/fuel/tires/water. Ability to work without supervision. Must use good judgement and common sense when performing job functions. Must be punctual. Must follow written and verbal instructions. Must operate equipment safely to task specification under all environmental conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; must be able to lift 50 pounds, and work in many different weather conditions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to federal installation. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to federal installations.
