Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in operating and maintaining chilled water systems and equipment.
• Learn to work with industrial and commercial chillers.
• Support the operation and maintenance of auxiliary equipment, including:
• Pumps
• Cooling towers
• Air compressors
• Control valves
• Respond to alarms and assist in diagnosing operating issues.
• Participate in preventive maintenance tasks, such as:
• Cooling tower basin cleaning
• Pump lubrication
• Equipment oil/filter changes
• Monitor gauges and meters and help make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate daily plant logs and assist with record-keeping.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System for tracking maintenance activities.
• Learn to collect water samples and perform routine tests.
• Communicate any operational needs to supervisors.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support the team.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification within 6 months (company will provide support).
• Availability to work various shifts, including overnight and weekends.
Ideally, you'll also have:
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Interest in learning about computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
