Velocity Global, LLC Job Title: Engineering Manager Location: 1701 Platte Street, STE 210, Denver, CO 80202 (May work remotely)
Salary: $160,000
Duties:
Plans projects for the team to work on independently and also jointly with engineering teams; Manages team resources for successful high-quality delivery of projects; Partners with key experts in different groups and with non-engineering stakeholders; Brings in QA and engineering best practices to the company; Owns driving progress and adoption of automation across engineering; Mentors and coaches team in career growth and development; Manages the performance of team members. Attracts, hires, and retains engineering talent; Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability; Install, maintain, or use software testing programs; Create or maintain databases of known test defects; Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness; Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates; Design or develop automated testing tools. May work remotely from anywhere in the US. May supervise up to 8 QA Engineering Professionals.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalency) in Business Administration, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Assurance Lead, or related role required. As an alternative to a bachelor's degree and 2 years, employer will accept four (4) years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Assurance Lead, or related. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training. Experience must include the following skills: Implementing and managing automated testing within CI/CD pipeline Utilizing Azure DevOps and Git; Testing applications that integrate machine learning models; Designing and building API/UI testing solutions utilizing Selenium WebDriver, Karate and Cypress; Managing branching strategies to facilitate parallel development efforts (Git, Azure DevOps, SVN).
