You will play a meaningful role as part of a top-notch team of professionals who are driving value for Prologis as we grow from over 500MW to 1000MW on our buildings by 2025 in contribution to our net zero by 2040 strategy. Prologis is the preeminent leader in sustainable logistics as supply chains charge toward decarbonizing. We're installing electric vehicle charging, storage, investing in renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) and helping our customers understand and reduce carbon emissions on the largest global logistics platform.
Prologis is seeking an ambitious and passionate Enterprise Sustainability Director to drive positioning of our energy, mobility, and sustainability (EMS) solutions to Prologis customers and beyond as we drive towards our net zero goal. Based in the US, this role will position our global energy and sustainability solutions to customers, across our energy, sustainability, and mobility domains to convey the total value of Prologis' solutions to drive decarbonization. You will drive senior level relationships with our customer sustainability and operations teams and be on the cutting edge of what these customers want. This position can be at one of our 30+ offices across the US.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage executive sustainability relationships with C-suite, senior levels of key organizations based on Prologis' install base, your connections, and natural benefactors of supply chain sustainability solutions
- Work with affiliate Prologis sales teams in Energy, Mobility, Essentials, and Customer Led Solutions / Development (CLS/CLD) to advance our Enterprise Account management approach and position holistic sustainability offers for the built environment and logistics networks
- Responsible for building customer strategies in partnership with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.) focused on influencing closure and debottlenecking EMS sales opportunities.
- Responsible for quarterly, annual, and multi-year sales targets in collaboration with domain-based sales teams driving multi-million dollar direct revenue targets and developing and qualifying leads for connected decarbonization solution sales.
- Interface and develop strong working relationships with various regional internal and external partners to ensure the Sustainability & Energy team is viewed as a responsive team that brings value to our real estate business; utilize common CRM processes
- Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring proper coordination and communication takes place; leverage accelerated sales models and training to drive decision making
- Represent Prologis in external forums including conferences, presentations / speaking engagements, and partnerships.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 7+ years' experience in sales or sales management ideally within a business-to-business environment and > 5 years in corporate sustainability sales with history of successfully meeting targets
- Strong relationship builder, must be able to develop trust quickly through multiple avenues (direct conversations, marketing connections, event interactions, and general networking in the industry)
- Knowledge of and experience with selling to F500 companies including hierarchies, decision making process and network of key players
- Positive, innovative, and collaborative attitude; strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to results
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and get creative to develop executable projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills especially in relation to customer interaction
Able to travel up to 40% of the time Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
- Proven consultative sales skills, professional sales training
- Experience with utility tariffs & programs, power purchase agreements, distributed solar, storage, EV and general renewable energy structures
- Knowledge of corporate sustainable logistics needs and Scope 3 emissions perspectives
Hiring Salary Range of: $166,000 - 228,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
