Responsible for innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets. Apply knowledge of

statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement. Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data. Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments. Work with product engineers and/or practitioners to translate concepts and prototypes into new products, services, and features and provide guidelines for small and large-scale implementation.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science

  • University Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related Engineering discipline

  • Knowledge and practical experience using a variety of machine learning techniques, for example: linear regression, logistic regression, neural networks, support vector machines, anomaly detection, natural language processing, clustering and classification algorithms

  • Experience with Python and modern deep learning frameworks, such as Keras, TensorFlow, pyTorch, caffe

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly proficient in python

  • Autonomous, independent researcher

  • Flexible, resourceful, and able to learn general full-stack development skills

  • Understand the Software development life cycle (including front and back end)

  • An understanding containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deploying and managing AI applications

  • Able and willing to learn new skills quickly

  • General NLP or LLM related experience (e.g. LLM prompting, LangChain, etc).

  • Strong communication skills and able to help plan/guide small team

Desired:

  • Web service networking, REST API’s, knowledgeable in SSL based authentication.

  • Experience with JWICS data source API’s

  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs

  • Willingness to gain a Top Secret or TS-SCI clearance with polygraph

  • Proficiency with JavaScript and common frontend frameworks such as Angular and React

  • Backend development experience with common languages like Python, Java, Node.JS, C++, GO, Rust, etc.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts

  • Experience with deployment/scaling of machine learning models

  • Experience integrating multiple applications

  • Experience with development in microservice based architectures

  • Experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in various Government agencies

  • Experience building scalable solutions to mission problems

  • AWS API experience

  • AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or, Architect, etc.)

  • Security+ Certification

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Clearance:

Top Secret or Top-Secret SCI clearance and a polygraph preferred but not required

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100 - 172,400 USD
