Inthis role, you will aid in building a data engineering platform that enablesus to drive better experiences for our customers. As a data engineer in thisspace, you'll bring your knowledge of creating, hosting, andmonitoring data solutions to build scalable, repeatable patterns. You'llwork closely with our Product Manager, Product Owner, Tech ProductManager, Delivery Manager and engineering teams to establish a modern dataplatform leveraging cloud and sunsetting legacy processing. We leverage anagile practice, striving for fully managed regular deployments. This rolepresents the unique opportunity to influence the process and end product,while working with an existing skilled data engineering community.Here are a few things you'll do:Understand business context and transfer that knowledge to build solutionsaround data repositories while keeping an enterprise and engineering mindsetImplement and iterate on a wide range of AWS services using modern languagesand managed deployment options.Engage with business partners as a technology consultantBuild out our data zones (raw, curated, serving) in our cloudenvironment leveraging AWS Services and scripting solutions to transform thedaUnderstand the trade-offs between technical, analytical, and product needsand lead to solutions that take all the needs into account.Develop strategies for data acquisition and influence others within thebusiness area through explanation of policies, patterns, and practices.Continue maintenance, support, divestment initiatives of legacy platformsProvide technical advice and weigh in on technical decisions that impact otherteams or the enterprise at large.Make the team stronger through code review, thorough documentation,technical guidance, and mentoringQualificationsWe are looking for someone with:Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years related work experience or a Master'sdegree in related fieldExperience with:o Database Management Systemso Data Management practices (data profiling, data quality management,Master Data Management)o Cloud Platforms (prefer AWS)o Modern data modeling techniques and data structureso Building/operating systems for data extraction, ingestion, andprocessing of large data setso Building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasetsfrom multiple sourceso Data lakes, data mesh architectural practiceso Reporting oriented data products and reporting technologies.Additional preferred technical experience:Working knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce object managementLeadership with mentoring and upskilling team membersAdditional AWS managed services knowledgeGitHub administration experienceBuilding and maintaining data pipelinesMulti-cloud development experienceSalary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions havethe opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions areeligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, wherebytotal compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individualperformance.
