Your opportunity
Responsible for covering Janus Henderson’s fixed income franchise with focus on growing areas of the business including but not limited to securitised assets, multi-sector portfolios, and private debt.
Responsible for driving the commercial success of covered products through business plan ownership, completion and implementation
Work closely with the Global Head of Fixed Income CPMs to develop, articulate, and communicate longer-term business plan goals and targets to internal stakeholders
Represent and advocate for the Portfolio Managers both within the organisation and with the external client base; display expertise in articulating team philosophy, process, performance/attribution and portfolio positioning to internal and external clients
Participate in regular investment discussions with portfolio managers and analysts.
Engage with Portfolio Managers to ensure that investment strategy aligns with client expectations and guidelines across market environments to provide excellent client experience
Drive distribution strategy to support new business and asset retention efforts with key accounts; activities will include internal strategy discussions, pro-active sales engagement, final RFP review for custom or large opportunities, PR
Provide investment voice in the product messaging, marketing strategy, and development of collateral material
Represent Janus Henderson Investors (JHI) across the industry, building our reputation and brand through participation in client conferences and investment panels
Engage with product development on future strategy of product set; including competitor analysis, fees and positioning
Assist in client prospecting across all geographies and Distribution channels where necessary

Must have skills
Experience as an analyst, portfolio manager, trader, or client portfolio manager in the securitized or structured credit markets
Business / Commercial Acumen – able to proactively develop clear objectives backed by data, understanding any problems that may prevent them being achieved and a way to overcome them
Client Skills – able to write and report for a variety of audiences, adapting key messages by client type, and presenting and communicating with clients clearly and confidently
Investment Knowledge – deep understanding of specific products or asset, including the impact of macro environment
Data Assessment – able to extract and analyse performance and attribution data to inform business decisions and client communications
Partnership – able to coordinate activities between PMs, Product Specialists, Product Development and Investment Specialists, able to listen and communicate effectively for different audiences to build trust
Agility – able to respond effectively to changing environments, and proactively find ways to provide innovative solutions for clients and teams
Teamwork - ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
Travel as needed
Nice to have skills
MBA, advanced degree or CFA Charter Holder preferred
Experience with presentation development and delivery
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Data gathering and interpretation from institutional sources including: Bloomberg, FactSet, Wilshire, Zephyr, Investor Force-PSN, Callan PEP software, etc.

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $215,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
