Business Unit Introduction Engineering and Program Management: This role is part of Enterprise Program Management (EPM), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EPM allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will design the layouts of high-performance, high-reliability PCBs for various flight vehicles' flight and power management components and sub-systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and layout of high-performance, high-reliability PCBs for aerospace applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, firmware, and software engineers to ensure design requirements are met. Work with industry-leading software (e.g.: Allegro, Altium Designer) to create detailed schematics and layout design. Ensure design and manufacturing practices adhere to industry standards and regulations. Create and maintain technical documentation for PCB layout and design. Develop and maintain Blue's common component eCAD design library, including part footprints and related information. Collaborate in defining PCB development process improvements (procedures and checklists). Contribute to PCB/PCBA design reviews by providing DFM/DFA/DFT and similar value-added info. Troubleshoot and resolve any PCB design and layout issues. Independently determine the general approach and provide reliable solutions to technical problems including working through complex issues related to PCB layouts and assemblies. Check the quality of work of other layout resources, including internal and external resources. Mentor internal layout resources on PCB layout and Allegro/Altium best practices.
