Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. Architectural Designer Professional Entry Level (Req 13562) in Denver, Colorado

Researching conditions of projects by visiting the sites or collecting relevant data to set design study. Producing infographic diagrams and drawings to help design communication during the schematic design phase. 3d modeling of various design options for the team to understand how the design options work on the site with exact scale. Drawing and managing construction documentation to communicate with other disciplines and contractors. Onsite inspection during the construction administration phase. Architectural precedent studies for concept designs. Design presentations internally and externally focused. Building code research, documentation, and presentation. Building design documentation, (Drawings and Specifications). Building design, concept, and detail.

Telecommuting is allowed.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree in Architecture and 3 years of work experience in Architectural Designer or related occupation. Or Master's degree in Architecture and 1 year of work experience in Architectural Designer or related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Research skill: Ability to analyze the project site according to architectural knowledge such as regional environment, architectural program, and construction. Graphic skill: Ability to illustrate data into graphic diagrams to improve communication with clients. Architectural Concept ideation: Ability to draw or sketch to generate architectural ideas in a visual format, to provide variety and concept evolution for client charettes. 3D modeling skill: Ability to build 2D sketches or drawings in 3D modeling programs. The critical component both for communication and as a deliverable to clients are the 3d models. These can be for design development, documentation or information modeling. Communication skills in Construction Documentation: Ability to generate, read, and correct construction documentation. Recognize issues with document, codes, standards and constructability. Ability to obtain NCARB record. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
