Summary
The Recruitment Specialist supports the goals of the Recruitment Department through high school relationships, community partnerships, outreach to prospective students and administrative responsibilities. The main purpose of this position is to connect with high school counselors, students, and parents. As we are the face of the institution, it is important to be well versed in the knowledge we have about the institution. Even though it might not be as in-depth as the advisors or enrollment guides, having a well-rounded information is a must to succeed in this position. Main duties are to provide information to prospective students. This might come in forms of presentation, application drive, 1 on 1 meeting, lunch visit, college fair, and any opportunity to promote North Central Texas College to students that are interested. Travel off campus and between campuses is to be expected. Sometimes you might be on the road more than half of your day, it would be extremely important to be able to work independently without supervision at times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Determine and schedule all assigned high school visits in designated recruitment territory
Conducts presentations in classrooms/auditoriums; manages relationships with prospective students, parents, and school counselors
Recruits prospective students to the college through attendance at college day/night fairs, career fairs, visits to high schools, and on-campus programs
Utilize multiple platforms such as texting, email, web meetings to answer questions from perspective students and family members regarding the college and the admissions procedures.
Provides in-office admissions counseling; meets with prospective students; initiates appropriate and effective follow-up communication to prospective students
Conduct campus tours, participate in the planning and implementation of on and off-campus recruitment events.
Maintains and expands a database of prospective student leads in JRM (an online, Salesforce-based customer relationship management package).
Maintains and builds relationships with program chairs, Deans, advisors, and other staff.
Manages supply of NCTC-branded materials (ex: pennants, pens, cups, stuffed animals, etc.) and viewbooks for give-away at recruitment events.
Tracks events and student interactions in the JRM customer relationship management system.
Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the need of the department and the institution.
Required Education:
Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate
Required Experience:
One (1) year of experience in administrative support, customer services, or related field
Previous higher education recruitment experience is preferred
