The Physician Assistant is responsible for the safety of the patients while under going medical/ surgical interventions, assists with the supervision of non-professional personnel, anticipating the needs of the medical team and provides such services while maintaining a safe environment. The PA is a specialty trained individual who participates and actively assist the physician in the performance of the medical/ surgical intervention/procedure.
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Qualifications
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant and CPR certification required. Two years experience preferred Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served and serves as a patient advocate. Must be able to take call. Moderate computer skills.
