Conviva Field Medical Assistant - Conviva Palm Beach in Delray Beach, Florida

The Field Medical Assistant performs home visits and other clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.

Conviva Boca Raton: 9080 Kimberly Blvd, Suite 1-4, Boca Raton, FL 33434

Conviva Delray Beach: 5317 W. Atlantic Ave., Suite 104, Delray Beach, FL 33484

Note: Visits will be done in patient’s homes and the condition of these homes varies.

Additional Information:

Work schedule: 8:00-8:30 at center, 8:30-2:00 in field, and 2:00-5:00 at center.

What a typical workday looks like in this role.

Arrive to center at 8AM prep supplies for home visit, call patients that will be seen that day and give ETA, leave with PA to patient’s home about 3-5 per day between 8:30-2:00PM, work will consist of taking vitals, drawing blood, charting in eCW, etc. Come back to home center and process labs drawn that day, plan route for following day, and confirm insurance.

Job Functions

  • Perform home visits that consist of planning routes, confirming insurance, taking vitals, drawing blood, charting in eCW and processing labs drawn.

  • Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.

  • Manage the provider’s schedule to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.

  • Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments.

  • Perform specimen collection and point of care testing.

  • Prepare and administer medications under direction of healthcare providers.

  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures.

  • Maintain established quality control standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience.

  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program.

  • Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish and Creole is a Plus.

  • An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA or AAH

  • Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding

  • Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records

  • Experience in a fast paced/high volume environment

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$34,500 - $47,400 per year
