Corporate Compliance Manager

Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is a fully integrated retail, foodservice and private label producer of fresh and processed meats headquartered in Delphi, Indiana. Summary

The Corporate Compliance Manager has the responsibility for management, administration, and oversight of compliance matters for the Corporation. The position is responsible for strategic and tactical planning of compliance matters, policies, and processes. This position will ensure in conjunction with the Finance team "risk management" function, that there are sound risk management practices and policies relating to compliance matters for the Corporation. Additionally, this role will be responsible for ensuring that there is culture of compliance throughout its employees and leaders though training and communication efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the Compliance function and to help communicate, maintain, and monitor the on-going compliance activities within IPC as a corporation.
  • Work in collaboration with all functions to enhance compliance awareness and processes.
  • Ensure the Business Continuity Plan, Management Plan and Processes are updated, and communicated to those who are responsible for driving compliance in their areas.
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer, and other VPs who have compliance related activities as needed.
  • Maintain corporate policies and procedures and update as needed.
  • Lead, manage and run multiple corporate compliance programs and committees designed to align with Mitsubishi compliance expectations and ensure a strong business continuity and ethical compliance adherence across all our entities.
  • Work with other team members to ensure that the Company Emergency Response efforts fit the compliance expectations required by Mitsubishi.
  • Work with members of the leadership team with regards to managing and supporting merger and acquisition activities and assessing possible target acquisition company compliance programs as they relate to Mitsubishi's expectations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, accounting, or some form of legal background (paralegal) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of working experience as an auditor or other similar business function where compliance related activities are significant.

Qualifications and Skills

Must be able to listen, engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Effective presentation skills.

Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a large corporation with multiple facilities in multiple states.

Process mapping skills preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Strong documentation and highly organized.

Must be able to interact at a highly independent level across the business, with shareholders, Directors of the Board, regulatory agencies, outside counsel, customers, and potential acquisitions.

The role prefers an existing knowledge (but a fast development is acceptable) of agricultural law, agricultural policy, as well as matters facing the protein industry.
