SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging part-time Instructional Support Associate to join the School of Applied Technologies and Architecture. The part-time instructional support associate for our Utilities Operation program. This team member will provide electrical faculty with instructional support and assistance to maintain and/or improve the student's educational experience. The Instructional Support Associate is required to perform a variety of duties in the laboratory and has responsibilities as set forth below:

  • Assist faculty in teaching, demonstrating equipment, and/or observing and assisting students in developing appropriate techniques in our outdoor Utilities "pole yard" laboratories.

  • Assist faculty and/or staff with preparing, developing, and presenting instructional and/or classroom and laboratory instruction materials.

    Job Requirements:

  • Five years of relevant experience in electrical utilities or powerline work.

  • Ability to teach and train students.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record by the time of appointment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical utilities or powerline work.

  • Teaching experience.

    Additional Information:

  • Starting date: January 16, 2025

  • This is a part-time (24 hours a week) semester position (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) for 15 weeks in the Spring semester (mid-January?early May) and 15 weeks in the Fall semester (late August to early December).

  • Starting Salary: $21,000

  • This is a 10-month position, Part-Time Position

  • Budget Title: Instructional Support Associate, SL-2
