PPG INDUSTRIES, INC. Production Planner Scheduler in Delaware, Ohio
As the Production Planner/Scheduler you will organize all the demand inputs for Delaware production into an achievable finite plan that meets the service requirements of the North American Automotive Refinish business. The Production Planner/Scheduler will ensure the SBUs ability to provide product availability and great customer service while also minimizing the working capital investment. Reporting directly to the Supply planning Supervisor Use regular scheduling routines to manage issues with capacity constraints. Working at our facility in Delaware, Ohio you will identify and lead efforts to improve efforts in areas related to job responsibility. Key Responsibilities Use Oracle R12 Scheduling application to schedule work orders in a workable schedule based on available plant resources, available inventory, equipment and production work schedules, while meeting customer demand. Understand production parameters in detail: routings, versions, resources, lead times, alternative resources, formulas, and calendars. Publish the schedule and communicate to Production team to ensure schedule is attained. Communicate batch priorities to Production team. Participate on cross-SBU teams as warranted to ensure acceptable service levels to both internal and external customers. Work with Demand Planning and Production Management teams to develop a deep working knowledge of their supply chain needs. Work with PPG Sales Management and Marketing to coordinate new product launches and branding changes, development of SI&OP forecasts, and address supply chain concerns. Ensure that proper forecasting system parameters are set to deliver expected results. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain or technical field is required. 2-3 years Supply Chain experience Plant Operations experience is beneficial. Leadership to evoke action from a diverse group, many of whom do not have a direct reporting relationship to the you.
