Here is a chance for you to make a positive impact - join us in this career opportunity: Production Technician (2nd Shift 3:00PM-1:00AM) This non-supervisory position, located in Delavan, Wisconsin, will care for all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. Technicians will ensure that assigned machines are running to their full capacity, oversee and perform light maintenance, and perform quality checks to drive Continental Plastic (CPC) profitability and achieve organizational KPI\'s and strategic objectives. Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, responsibilities include: Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines. Set up and operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Check machine output and identify any issues. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications. Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks. Successful candidates will possess the following: Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 months of machine operating experience (preferably in extrusion) in an industrial setting. Coursework should be supplemented with mechanical systems. Possess a basic knowledge level of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must possess a solid knowledge and understanding of the principles and methods involved in machining processes and applicable safety and OSHA requirements. Must possess the ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively and the ability to work independently, managing job orders and deadlines while maintaining an awareness of other business dependencies, when completing assigned duties.
