OUR VALUES Innovation Commitment & Passion Integrity Team & Relationships POSITION SUMMARY As a Tube Laser Operator at Landscape Structures, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the accurate and efficient cutting of metal tubing using advanced tube laser cutting equipment and working off of work instructions and drawings. Your attention to detail and expertise in machine operation will contribute to the production of top-quality playground products for our customers. Hours: M-TH 1 p.m. - 11 p.m. Earn a shift differential of $3/hr on top of your hourly rate! Duties and Responsibilities: Produces fabricated parts by following work instructions with the aid of nesting software. Fabricate components made of stainless, galvanized, aluminum & mild steel. Set up and prepare the tube laser cutting machine for operation, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and making necessary adjustments. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to program the tube laser cutting machine for precise and efficient cutting operations. Monitor the production process to ensure the quality and accuracy of cut tubes, conducting periodic checks and inspections. Safely handle and load materials into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for cutting. Operate the tube laser cutting machine, monitoring its performance, and making real-time adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and product quality. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting minor issues. Report any significant equipment problems to the maintenance team. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job setups, material usage, and any quality control checks.
