The Shipping Team Lead (first shift) is responsible for managing a team of Material Handlers to oversee picking/staging/FG put away in support of customer need and plant On Time Delivery for multiple shifts. The lead is the first contact for shipping issues and portals and is responsible for cross training the material handlers in support of inventory accuracy and business support. This lead is the site contact for all Logistic concerns and will be trained as an SME for our site. They will own adherence to standard work and any escalations or improvement needing addressed by Warehouse Value Stream Leader or Planning Manager.

This position is part of the Deland Materials Team and will be in Deland Florida, reporting to the Warehouse Value Stream Leader and Planning Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Closely work with planners and other materials team members to identify daily shipments for On Time Delivery and HOT requests.

• Help support “stock return “process from return items, create documentation for portals and processes, and work closely to develop plant controller for logistics.

• Manage responsibilities for daily management including daily missed shipments, help provide insight and direction for day-to-day problem solving, mostly with operations & carriers, and provide training to new hires & help create SOPs to make training better.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School Diploma required with a minimum of 2 years work experience in Logistics and Import/Export shipping.

• Proven problem-solving capabilities.

• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Continuous improvement

• POU or Material Supermarkets

• Inventory Control
