GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Accounting Clerk provides support to department activities with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling fiscal information. Reports to the Assistant County Treasurer. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Verify cash, checks and money orders in order to process receipts to the corresponding departments. Follows up with preparing deposit tickets and entering the information in Tyler. 2. Take deposits to the banks on a daily basis 3. Scan any financial documents/checks and other documents. 4. Verify that he amounts of deposits are correct and entering data in Tyler once receipts are received from bank. 5. Assists Treasurer with documentation and information for internal processing for auditing purposes. 6. Maintains files for financial information. 7. Prepares end of the month reports. 8. Posting and reconciling transactions in Tyler Tech. 9. Posting and verifying for ACH deposits received from bank websites. 10. Reconcile bank statements at the end of the month. 11.
