ProMedica Health System Social Worker - Coping Center - Part Time- Afternoons in Defiance, Ohio

The Coping Center licensed social worker performs intervention planning, psychosocial intervention, counseling, and evaluation without social work supervision. The licensed social worker performs social psychotherapy under supervision of an independent social worker, a professional clinical counselor, a psychologist, a psychiatrist, or a registered nurse with a master’s degree in psychiatric nursing. The LSW assists with the development, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Coping Center programs to meet patient, family and community needs. Performs social work consultations in other hospital departments as requested. The LSW functions as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. It is the social worker's responsibility to communicate regularly with multidisciplinary team members working with the patient and/or patient's family, including community referral sources and after care providers.
Must possess a Bachelor of Social Work, or comparable social work degree. Licensure as a licensed social worker (LSW) (Must meet all Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Family Marriage Therapist Board requirements for licensure as a licensed social worker). Maintain CPR certification. Ability to pass competencies of the position according to the job description, performance evaluation, and departmental policies.
