Cella Inc Sr UX Designer (Remote) in Deerfield, Illinois
Location: Deerfield, IllinoisJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $70 - 78 per hourOur client in the Financial Services Industry is seeking a UX Designer to join their team. The UX Designer is responsible for shaping the product design of websites and apps that align with business goals and deliver a positive experience for users. As part of a collaborative product team, the designer will create intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling experiences. They will leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.Responsibilities:
Write and edit user-centric content, including microcopy, error messages, onboarding flows, tooltips, and more, ensuring clarity and consistency.
Develop and maintain a cohesive voice and tone across digital touchpoints, aligned with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with UX designers to craft wireframes, prototypes, and user flows in tools like Figma.
Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs, motivations, and behaviors, and apply insights to refine content.
Ensure seamless, accessible user experiences across the entire customer journey.
Work closely with cross-functional partners, including product owners, technology teams, and legal, to ensure content meets business and compliance requirements.
Partner with developers to ensure content implementation aligns with design specifications.
Actively contribute to improving the content design process and tools.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Design Tools: Skilled in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or other prototyping and wireframing software.
User Research & Testing: Experienced in conducting user research, usability testing, and interpreting findings to inform design decisions.
Understanding of Design Principles: Solid grasp of typography, color theory, layout, and interaction design, with attention to accessibility and inclusivity.
Communication & Collaboration: strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Proven experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or similar role in a digital product environment.
Strong understanding of UX principles, content strategy, and user-centered design.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, brevity, and accessibility.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools like Figma and familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira.
Experience using data and research to inform content decisions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices in inclusive design is a plus.
