Insight Global Transportation Supervisor in Deerfield Beach, Florida

Job Description

· Oversees a diverse team of individuals aimed at moving raw and finished goods in an efficient manner safely, while also promoting performance metrics such as on-time delivery and optimizing operational expenses. Assigns tasks and ensures they are completed in a timely manner.

 · Supervises tasks such as payroll, personnel onboarding, and other metrics aimed at promoting productivity.

 · Experience with change management and leads by example through supervising and providing continuous feedback to a diverse team of dispatchers/freight coordinators.

 · Proven ability to multi-task to complete multiple project deadlines. Closely work with the Transportation Manager on continuous improvement projects aimed at deceasing costs and increasing productivity.

 · Oversees Carriers and speaks with them daily to troubleshoot delivery failures and address safety concerns and ensures company is compliant with the DOT. Must be safety focused.

 · Creates and documents standard operating procedures as well as provides recommendations for improving functions that will improve day to day work.

 · Experience with understanding rate structures, how to negotiate rates along with auditing invoices to ensure carriers are paid in a timely manner.

 · Must be comfortable with working in excel, presenting information to a diverse audience and extensive knowledge working with ERPs.

Responds to emergencies including afterhours support.

Skills and Requirements

· Bachelor's degree or higher

 · 3 to 5 years of logistics experience is a must.

 · Organization and time management skills

 · Experience with ERPs (Oracle, SAP, etc), Microsoft Office, KPIs visualization (Tableau, Microsoft BI).

 · Transportation knowledge

 · Dispatching experience

 · DOT safety regulations

 · Detail oriented

 · Supervising others

Load trucking software · Prefer to have someone on-site 5 days a week

 · Project management focused

 · Worked with owner operators

 · Law and safety understanding
