Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice. Important aspects of this responsibility are the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care; acquisition of specialized knowledge skills and additional formal education to provide specialized care; demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice; clinical practice consistent with the policies, procedures, and standards of this facility; and supervision of other staff as designated within the department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Texas State RN license or compact license required.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

• ACLS preferred.

• Associate Degree required, but Bachelors Degree preferred.

• Pass licensed personnel FIM exam using the UDSMR Online Credentialing System within 90 days of hire

• CRRN preferred

• Minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience required (post-acute inpatient rehab care setting preferred).

• Experience utilizing Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF0PAI) for inpatient rehab preferred.
