Spherion Staffing Tax Preparer in Decatur, Indiana
**Spherion is looking for a Seasonal Tax Preparer to temporarily work for one of our clients in Bluffton, IN.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM - 4PM (schedule can be flexible) Pay: $25-$35/HR depending on experience**
This is a seasonal role starting now until late April/May to help supplement during the busy tax season. You would be helping with tax return preparation using UltraTax tax software, communication with Reviewers and other staff, and client communication via phone, text, and email.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses - Review financial records and documents to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations - Gather necessary information from clients to complete tax forms and schedules - Calculate taxes owed or refunds due based on income, expenses, deductions, and credits - Maintain confidentiality of client information and records
Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures - Proficient in using accounting software and tax preparation software - Excellent math skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Required Skills: - Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role (at least 2 years + experience) - Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures - Proficient in using accounting software and tax preparation software - Excellent math skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately
