Job Title: Inventory Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team on a first shift from 7AM-3:30PM. This role involves a 6-12 month rolling contract with potential for overtime during weekend projects. The primary responsibilities include physically counting parts, ranging from small screws to computer-sized components, and entering data into Excel. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for this position, as you will be part of the inventory team responsible for tracking parts across multiple buildings. The work environment is primarily on the manufacturing floor, requiring safety gear and a significant amount of walking and standing.

Responsibilities

  • Physically counting parts of various sizes

  • Using a 7-digit part number system to locate and count parts

  • Tracking parts across different buildings

  • Entering data into Excel and saving findings for the counting team

  • Maintaining accuracy in all inventory tasks

  • Following safety protocols on the manufacturing floor including wearing steel toes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and a bump hat

  • Walking and standing for the entire shift

  • Performing line audits for leading IRA indicators

  • Updating and posting IRA Value Stream Metrics

  • Leading Value Stream board meetings to review metrics

  • Capturing action items and following up with owners to drive improvement

  • Executing small action items such as hanging signs, adding labels, and taking pictures

Essential Skills

  • Experience in asset inventory and inventory management

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in using Excel for data entry

  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift

  • Capability to work independently throughout the day

  • Experience in performing audits and ensuring quality

  • Comfort with computers and creating tables and charts in Excel

  • Organizational skills and effective email communication

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Audit and quality experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with inventory systems and retail customer service is beneficial

  • Ability to lead organized meetings and follow up on action items

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00
