Remain up to date on production schedule including size, style and specification of product to be produced.
Prepare for any changeovers that will occur on the given shift. Arrange to have all necessary materials ready and staged, as appropriate, to minimize nonvalue added activity.
Review and complete all required paperwork including the daily safety inspections sheets.
Check and stock all supply by his or her workstation.
Maintain daily operations of machinesand perform basic maintenance.
Depending on assignment, maintain and troubleshoot uncoilers, curlers, compound machines, ovens, fingers, gearboxes, pressure rings, and associated equipment and/or toolingas required.
Change/replace finishing press punches, operate and maintain trimmer/flanger, finishing press.
Support the replacement of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, air cushions, couplings, etc.
Inform the Shift Supervisor of any problems with the printer or paint line that occurred on the previous shift or is likely to occur on his or her shift.
