GDIA Data Product Management mission: to develop, document, and guide a well-defined path for GDIA Central Data Engineering that provides the enterprise with best-in-class, reusable data products focused on prioritized initiatives.
The Data Product Management Team is responsible for:
Contributing to the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of high-quality reusable foundational data products, bringing in strategic sources for enterprise needs, and data capabilities
Prioritize data engineering demand based on business impact, data-driven insights, and evolving enterprise demand
Running the Data Product Management Process daily, quarterly

In this position...
The Data Product Management Supervisor role involves close collaboration with Ford skill teams, GDIA Analytic Teams and Data Platform Engineering, especially Central Engineering, as well as other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
This is a hybrid role and onsite work of up to three days per week may be required for candidates
What you'll do…
Provide/support forward-looking data strategies for enterprise data products. Partner on data product development decisions and areas for improvement, contributing knowledge of trends, patterns, and synergies
Work effectively within an agile environment, collaborating closely with GDIA Analytics Teams, Enterprise Business Requestors, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders
Represent DPE in cross-functional projects, leading efforts for validation of scope and complexity
Routine engagement in GDIA Analytic Portfolio Reviews, other DPE meetings, as well as customer engagement
Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Apply DPM prioritization principles across all work
Understand and support established data governance and privacy policies and procedures
Leverage market research and competitor analysis, providing insights to inform data product strategy
Track data source and product usage
You'll have...
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
5 + years of experience in data engineering, data science and data analysis working with large datasets and data processing tools (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.).
5+ years of experience in critical analysis/applied thinking and data analysis, with a strong background in understanding, describing, and presenting clear and understandable communications and objectives.
3+ years of communication and collaboration skills including the ability to write effective agendas and run meetings that drive to decisions and critical follow up actions
Even better, you may have…
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field
Experience leading teams of product managers, data engineers or similar.
Applied experience with data in critical subject areas such as Manufacturing, Connected Vehicle and/or Product development
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with data visualization tools
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
