Robert Half Employee Relations Manager in Dearborn Heights, Michigan

Description

Robert Half's well-respected client is seeking to hire an Interim HR Manager Consultant specializing in Employee Relations, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining positive relationships between the organization and its employees. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, policy interpretation, and fostering a culture of open communication and mutual respect. This role is located in Dearborn Heights, MI and will report to the HR Director.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, issues, and grievances.

  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints or concerns in a fair and timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal regulations.

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive work environment and mitigate potential conflicts.

  • Partner with managers to address performance issues and develop improvement plans when necessary.

  • Provide guidance and support in the performance evaluation process, ensuring consistency and fairness.

  • Identify trends and patterns in performance issues and recommend proactive solutions to enhance employee productivity and engagement.

  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and practices remain compliant.

  • Interpret company policies and procedures for employees and managers, offering guidance on appropriate course of action.

  • Facilitate effective communication between employees and management, promoting transparency and trust.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale, such as recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee feedback mechanisms.

  • Conduct regular meetings or training sessions to educate employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

    Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations.

  • Thorough understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software applications.
