Sodexo at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University , located in Daytona Beach, Florida , home to NASCAR’s Daytona 500 and “The World’s Most Famous Beach" is looking for a laser focused, detailed oriented, servant leader to join our management team as a Food Service Manager 2 . The 185-acre campus serves a diverse student community of approximately 6,700 undergrads and 800 graduate students from 50 states and nearly 100 countries. Embry Riddle Aeronautical University offers degrees in Aeronautical Sciences and Aeronautics, Aerospace and Air Traffic management, Aviation Business, Finance, and Sciences, Business Administration, Cybersecurity and Computer Sciences.
The Service Manager 2 position here at Embry-Riddle will support our guests and frontline team in our award-winning Boundless Dining facility. This All-You-Care-To-Eat, a-la-minute style dining facility offers a diverse, from scratch menu, served from 11 different stations including our award-winning Simple Serving, allergy free station. We offer artisan pizza, a full-service handcrafted deli and salad bar, house-made bakery, plus 8 action stations. This is a popular dining location for the overall community as well as the many visitors to campus.
This position requires weekend coverage and later coverage during the evening hours. As part of the Sodexo management team here at Embry-Riddle, we support each other and all aspects of dining services here on campus. This requires participating in special events, support for other dining operations on campus, and catering events on and off campus.
The successful candidate will:
lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes; and/or
train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.
