MSD is looking for a Service Plumber to join our team!

 

The Service Plumber performs plumbing operations for commercial clients.  The Service Plumber performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Installations, repairs, and pipefitting using appropriate materials and equipment commercial and industrial facilities. The Service Plumber supports the total quality effort by identifying and responding to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time.

 

Key Job Duties

  • Utilize knowledge and experience of systems and industry to determine the best solutions for clients' facilities
  • Service (removal, installation, and/or repair) of client facilities
  • Written and verbal communication internally to MSD and externally to clients
  • Maintain availability, in accordance with the 'on-call' schedule
  • Provide superior customer service, minimizing impact on client operations
  • Communicate frequently each day with dispatch team and/or Operations Manager
  • Ensure a clear understanding of problems by communicating with key on-site personnel
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance and demeanor
  • Communicate and work in harmony with other team members to achieve common goals
  • Identify and correct plumbing issues at client locations
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked vehicle to minimize "call back:" situations
  • Compile and deliver reports detailing materials and tasking for both work performed and recommended solutions
  • Maintain/update skills, knowledge through continuing education opportunities available through MSD, our suppliers, and various trad organizations
  • Make every reasonable effort to ensure safe practices and get every employee home safely
  • Utilize resources of the company and the team to achieve goals
  • Advise management personnel of any issues that may affect organizational reputation
  • Train and develop identified personnel in advanced practices and techniques

     

Candidate Requirements:

  • 4+ years' recent experience in plumbing field
  • Possess (or be able to pass) city/county/state Journeyman certification test
  • Completion of a state-sponsored Apprenticeship program preferred
