Daikin Applied is now hiring a full-time Material Handler with a focus on Inventory in our Dayton, OH Distribution Center. 1st shift Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Starting pay - $18+ DOE $500 Sign-On Bonus* Summary: Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Executes replenishment plan but fulfilling restock tasks Supports Inventory Analyst in slotting and consolidation efforts Able to backfill Inventory Control Able to operate all Material Handling Equipment in the facility Ability to backfill in various roles through out the facility Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or containers Packs and prepares cartons for shipping to customers. Ensures accuracy of order and security of packaging to avoid damage in shipment Secure certain larger items in crates, either by building from scratch or using an empty crate on hand Use crate shop equipment when required. Such as table saws, nail gun and staple gun Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required 1 year of Industrial Vehicle operating experience preferred The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
