Dayton Children's Hospital Family Support Specialist in Dayton, Ohio

The Family Support Specialist will serve as the liaison for all families coming from around the world to Dayton Children’s for consultation, surgical, and inpatient and outpatient care. The specialist will work and coordinate with the multiple internal services lines on timelines and pre-assessments of the family needs prior to arrival. The specialist will work and build connections within the community, and collaborate with organizations to coordinate housing, food, travel, spiritual, entertainment. Assist the language, cultural and social needs of the parent and patient. The specialist will determine the needs for each family to ensure their experience is comfortable as possible.

Department Specific Job Details:

Flexible schedule -20-30 per week

Preferred- Associates Degree; certification, Community Health Worker (CHW) - Ohio Board of Nursing (preferred) 1-2 years of planning experience; Bi-Lingual – (Spanish speaking) preferred

Education Requirements:

Associates, GED, High School (Required)

Certification/License Requirements:
