Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital's Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsbilities.
Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor.
Consistently support the compliance program through personal example; the provision of day-to-day instruction and correction to employees in regard to compliance-related issues, application of appropriate discipline as required for compliance violations, and ongoing monitoring of activities and work product in areas of responsibility with respect to compliance-related issues.
Design programs and strategies to meet goals and objectives agreed upon with the CEO.
Provide input/assistance with hiring and termination of staff
Create a housekeeping schedule that adequately staffs the hospital to meet its needs
Delegate responsibility to other housekeeping staff as appropriate
Operate department within regulatory standards, best practices and prescribed budget
Plan and Document Q1 for housekeeping
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and standard work
Maintain job descriptions and evaluate housekeeping staff annually
Ensure that all areas of the hospital are kept clean and disinfected using the latest infection control guidelines
Work with Materials Management Manager to ensure the department has the supplies they need
Foster and environment of team work, pride, customer service and confidentiality within the department.
Appropriate barrier protection will always be used in housekeeping when exposure to blood and/or body fluids is anticipated
Implementing safe work practices 100% of the time to reduce the risk of occupational exposure during all procedures or tasks that involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
Attend workshops both in and out of town.
