Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team
Wound prevention and care
Initiates IV therapy as per policy/procedure, taking into consideration vein condition, patient age, skin condition, patient positioning, and cognition
Monitors and maintains venous access
Demonstrates care and maintenance of central venous access devices
Dialysis Therapy responsibilities
POCT: Blood glucose Monitoring & Quality Control
Requirements:
BSN or BS/BA degree in Nursing
Current RN Pennsylvania state license
Current AHA BLS required
Professional certifications preferred
