Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 200 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater. 

  • Full time, permanent position based in Dandenong South, VIC for early 2025 commencement.

  • Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

  • An extra 1.5% superannuation rate paid on top of national standard super rate.

Reporting to the Section Supervisor, this role will be accountable for but not limited to:

  • Receiving the daily priorities list and ensuring all analysis is done on time.

  • Checking spreadsheets, worklists and organising urgent samples to be analysed.

  • Conducting internal audits and responding to CAPAs raised.

  • Organising internal calibrations (of items such as pipettes, balances, timers and thermometers) to be carried out on a monthly basis.

  • Liaising with Analytical Service Manages about results checking and / repeating.

  • Helping troubleshoot instruments.

  • Training analysts with different tests.

  • Ensuring all staff members are performing the QZ as required.

  • Performing analysis, calculations and maintenance if applicable.

  • Monitoring and checking work of staff members in the section.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will obtain the following:

  • Experience with ICPMS, ICPMSMS, Autotitrators, CIC, IC Descrete Analyser.

  • Minimum education level of a Diploma in Science, Laboratory Techniques or equivalent.

  • Relevant experience demonstrating competency and working in a similar capacity at another ISO17025 accredited laboratory.

  • General preference and comfort in technical environments.

  • Ability to build and structure business plans, submissions and initiatives.

  • Desire to continually learn and improve.

  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and abstract reasoning skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
