We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager to lead and enhance our Food Testing laboratories in Melbourne. Working with our Food Chemistry Testing & Food Microbiology Testing teams, this role will include day-to-day management of the laboratories and operations to help achieve strategic plans and organisational growth.
Responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:
Leading the team by hiring, motivating, developing, and retaining excellent managers and employees to establish a reliable and high performing group with a robust succession plan.
Ensuring continued development, control, implementation and coordination of the quality management system and quality activities of the Business Unit in accordance with the relevant quality policies/procedures.
Maintaining and constantly improving customer satisfaction through effective management of marketing and sales activities and building strong positive relationships with clients, ensuring interactions are efficient and constructive.
Driving organic growth of the Business Unit while also achieving/maintaining best industry standards and profitability.
Delivering operational KPI’s to the agreed Operational Budget annual targets.
Fostering and driving a commitment to safety as an essential principle of all operations and activities, through incident investigations, safe work practices, worker participation and consultation in the workplace in accordance with the relevant safety policies/procedures.
Demonstrated experience as a successful people leader, with a focus on safety, quality, production, re-engineering, and cost reduction.
Energetic, passionate, and strongly business minded, with a history of quality and relevant experience.
Experience in business development and developing strong and robust relationships with clients.
Understanding of the relevant Eurofins Business Line, and/or experience in similar environments (e.g. Laboratory Setting, Field work etc.).
Experience in quality and accreditation processes, will be an advantage.
Background and/or experience in technical environments (e.g. scientific, engineering, manufacturing) or in a process driven setting, will be an advantage.
Technical or commerce qualifications and/or university master’s level qualifications, will be an advantage.
