Nuvance Health Float Pool Pharmacist - 40hr - Day Shift in Danbury, Connecticut

Summary:

Pharmacist that supports the Nuvance Pharmacy System by floating to various practice locations to fill in for PTO or supplement existing staff for special projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiency & safely verify orders and dispense medications to patients.

  2. Provide up to date and clinically relevant drug information to fellow colleagues in and out of department pharmacy.

  3. Participates in any clinical or operational initiatives to support safe, literature based and cost-effective medication management.

  4. Oversee, monitor and check all applicable tasks of both pharmacy technicians and intern pharmacists.

  5. Demonstrate current competency, knowledge and skills to comply with all federal, state, TJC and other regulatory standards.

  6. Precepts PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy school students in applicable practice setting. 7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS with 5yrs of pharmacy experience; Licensed RPh in CT or NY and in the second state within 6 months of hire; vaccine certified and registered vaccinator in CT & NY.

Preferred: PGY1 residency

  • Some occupational risk
