Main Responsibilities:
Main role is to make local deliveries throughout the day as needed.
Receiving the early morning transfer truck from Headquarters and help unload products to the branch’s warehouse area.
Sort and place products on racks, shelves or in bins in the appropriate areas.
Prepare company truck for operation by loading truck, securing of items, and verifying the accuracy of paperwork for delivery.
Drive company box truck to deliver orders to our customers' sites, or other Torrco branches which includes unloading products from the truck to the destination.
Follow route & delivery protocols set by branch manager, operations team and/or other sales team members.
Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) & Torrco Safety standards and regulations.
Assist in the warehouse with put away and clean up as needed.
Deliver outstanding customer service and build professional relationships by treating customers and colleagues in a friendly and respectful manner.
Maintain a safe driving record free of violations.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old.
At least 2 years of driving work experience (box truck preferred).
Must have a valid driver 's license.
Have a valid DOT medical card or able to obtain one if hired (company paid).
Clean driving record free of accidents and moving violations.
Background in warehouse operations and logistics a plus.
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Have a positive attitude, be a good team player and maintain good attendance.
Physical demands:
Position involves sitting for long periods of time, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
Use safety equipment to move product that can be up to 75-100 ponds.
Frequently ascends/descends from truck during deliveries.
