WR Systems Field Service Technician in Dam Neck, Virginia
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance is required to start
Travel Requirements : Up to 25%
Location: Dam Neck, VA
SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician to perform shipboard installation, testing, calibration and repair of signal intelligence equipment aboard naval vessels. Perform pre-installation testing, documentation updates, provide systems certification support, and train navy personnel in the operation/maintenance of signal intelligence equipment.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
· Shipboard equipment installation: update test, user, and certification documentation.
· Provide shipboard systems certification support.
· Track deliverables.
· Perform regression testing, equipment evaluation, and repair support.
· Provide RDT&E transition support, configuration management, risk management, process development, workflow development, functional area reporting and tracking, task management, and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, security protocols, and quality standards.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
· Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
· Eight (8)+ years of experience performing work in support of operation and systems analysis of government or commercial electronic systems or inertial navigation equipment, including equipment testing, and interpreting and evaluating field data.
· Six (6)+ years of experience as a technician (in related electronics fields) performing work, which required advanced operation and systems analysis of government or commercial electronic systems or inertial navigation equipment.
· Two (2)+ years of experience in shipboard equipment installation and/or Alteration Installation Team (AIT) experience.
· Proficiency in electronics, telecommunications, and computer systems, with a strong understanding of radio frequency signal processing.
· Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software related issues.
