Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting various advanced hydraulic and electrical systems at the component level on all process equipment for an injection molding company with minimal guidance. As part of a team, the technician will maintain and repair equipment in a high production, fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple electrical and administrative tasks consistently. Plastic injection molding machines, robotics, PLCs, hydraulics, electrical cabinets, electrical work and some mechanical work, troubleshooting and fixing breakdowns, etc.

Required Skills

  • Preventative and reactive industrial maintenance

  • Troubleshooting and fixing breakdowns

  • Part repair and replacement

  • 480v electrical maintenance

  • Reading blueprints and schematics

  • Electrical cabinet troubleshooting and maintenance

  • PLC troubleshooting

  • Robotics troubleshooting

  • 3-phase motors

  • Variable frequency drives

  • Hydraulics

Preferred Skills

  • Injection molding or some sort of plastic or molding maintenance in a manufacturing setting preferred but not required

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dalton, GA.

Work Environment

The facility is clean but only partially climate-controlled, so temperatures can be about 10 degrees hotter than outside due to ovens and plastic melting processes. The environment is fast-paced with ovens, plastic compression molding equipment (Toshiba/Engels), and injection molding equipment for specific projects (Engels).

Pay: $28-$38/hr, depending on experience

Shifts: day and night shifts available

Schedule: Monday-Friday w/ OT on weekends as needed. Probably about 60-65 hrs a week.
