Reference #: 85347-359530 GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative support to the human resources function in the areas of HRIS/compensation/benefits, staffing/employment, employee relations, and/or organizational development (OD) and training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform customer service functions by answering internal and external HR related requests and questions. Assist with recruitment activities including screening applicants, scheduling interviews, processing pre-hire background checks. Coordinate new hire orientation. Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files. Maintain employee files, hard and digital. Input employee personal data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database. Process various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as job postings, pre-hire new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc. Coordinate employee engagement and stewardship activities. Schedule employee meetings as needed. Works with Employee Health & Safety Specialist on scheduling and staffing of periodic employee medical testing. Assists in updating gate access system and door access system. Always maintains strict confidentiality.

Non-Essential Job Duties (formerly Other Job Functions) May prepare special reports, such as insurance, OSHA, affirmative action and headcount using HRIS. May write job descriptions. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of related expereience in a Human Resources office environment Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel HR Certification or College Coursework/degree a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office environment. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones). Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
