The basic function is to ship and receive materials by performing the necessary computer transactions and ensuring an orderly and timely movement of parts from receipt to shipment to customer.
Principle Responsibilities
Responsible for the receiving and entering of incoming materials into SAP system
Generates bills of lading (BOL’s) and packing slips
Prepare purchase orders and shipping labels
Calls trucking companies (carriers) for pick-ups
Verifies received goods to purchase orders as to identification, type, quantities and part numbers
Responsible for building production schedules
Responsible for creating delivery notes and assigning them to the floor
Delivers non-inventory items to designated employees. Prepares FedEx packages and labels
Works with accounting to reconcile inventory receipts
Run computer reports as directed by Manager
Maintain recordkeeping, filing systems and reference manuals
Helps answer incoming phone calls

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
1+ year experience in receiving department
