Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Vice President of Development! This opportunity is available in our South Central region, and will lead development projects in the healthcare sector.

Some things you can expect to do:

Identify and pursue development, construction, and real estate management projects for the region, identifying top priority prospects, both on a geographic and a client group basis

Strategically pursue clients and lead project pursuits, including responses to proposals & RFP's and lead the sales presentations for all major projects.

Support the marketing and sales strategy for the region, including active management of the public relations, industry involvement, and award applications (includes understanding of industry competitors and documenting best competitive practices)

Assess potential development sites, including issues related to environmental contamination, geotechnical issues, topography, constraints analysis, city zoning and ordinances, applicable fees; develop site-specific costs budget for input into pro forma; prepare pro forma's and pursuit costs forecasts & present for internal deal approval proces

Determine submission requirements and schedule for required governmental approvals and permits, attending meetings and making presentations as required (City Councils, Planning Commissions, neighborhood groups, etc.)

Maintain contact with individuals and firms within the industry that help create opportunities for Ryan, including active and visible involvement in the appropriate associations

Responsible for on-going customer relations at the executive level, ensuring that design, construction, and property management are meeting client expectations

To be successful in this role, you must have:

Bachelor's degree in real estate development, construction management, engineering, or related field is required.

You must have at least 10 years of experience in commercial development and construction in a design-build environment with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.

You will really stand out if you have:

An MBA or MS in Real Estate or Finance

Deep connections and networks in healthcare, specifically in Texas

Existing healthcare system and special groups decision maker relationships and the ability to establish new healthcare relationships that result in development, design and construction opportunities
