Position Description

You will work closely with our diverse, fully US remote development team and product manager for axe DevTools Mobile to bring the vision of the product to life through planning and collaboration. You'll play a pivotal role in leading the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative technical projects. You'll serve as the bridge between business objectives and technical solutions, utilizing your expertise in project management, Agile methodologies, and business analysis to drive success. 

In addition to the product team, you will also work with the UI/UX team and QA team to ensure any prerequisite for planned work is ready, and work is properly tested prior to a release. With each release you will provide alignment to ensure appropriate changes are documented, tested, audited, and communicated within Deque.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Taking roadmap goals and translating them into an executable plan for both releases and iterations by working with the development team to break down work

  • Providing direction to the Agile development team and visibility to stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements 

  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prioritized prepared tasks to work on

  • Lead sprint ceremonies and keep team accountable for delivering committed work

  • Work with the development team to take roadmap items and break them out into sprint tasks in feature planning. 

  • Align work with release plans and sprint plans to ensure prioritized work is aligned with product strategy

  • Balance prioritized work between product strategy, tech debt, fixes and customer support tasks

  • Provide backlog management and refinement so that user stories are clearly defined and ready to be picked up

  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments and identifying risks impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

  • Keep team engaged by following Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of product development experience

  • At least 2 years of experience leading developers in shipping impactful technical solutions

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles

  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development

  • Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of mobile and web solutions, e.g. dashboards, APIs, SDKs, etc.

  • Knowledge of current mobile development practices, technologies and tools at consumer-focused companies

  • Background in software development

  • Demonstrated ability to lead problem identification and technical discussions

  • Ability to write clear technical user-stories utilizing terminology across mobile & web technology

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding presentation and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Experience in working at a geographically dispersed, remote, company is a plus

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Creative thinker with a vision
