Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Tech Lead to lead and guide team with extensive knowledge of technical principals, theories, and concepts in Software Development field specially on Kafka platform. This is to work with a development team for a major bank’s customer facing application and to manage interactions for that and a 3rd party vendor application.

This position is located in our Dallas TX, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland OH offices, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the offshore team, ensure quality deliverables, and provide expertise as and when needed.

• Plan, direct and coordinate daily activities with the team members.

• Assist Project Manager in the planning and estimation of project deliverables.

• Technical leader able to work in an agile environment that requires adaptation to changing digital transformation needs.

• Perform code reviews and support the team in troubleshooting technical issues.

• Provide technical solutions to problems encountered in the team.

• Enforce coding standards and best practices.

• Provide technology leadership to the team.

• Streaming Application development and deployment

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of the Java and Spring framework (Spring MVC, Spring boot, Spring security)

• 5+ years working knowledge on Kafka architecture

• 3+ years of experience with Apache Avro

• 3+ years of relational database, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)

• 1 years of experience on SQL or Oracle experience

• Strong knowledge on DevOps tools and Continue Integration (CI) process

• Strong knowledge of ORM tool (Hibernate preferably)

• Strong knowledge of REST service development

• Experience in containerization and CaaS platforms (OpenShift experience highly desired)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800-$185,800
