Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process Requirements - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong communication and social skills
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skilled at time management
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
ERP system experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong attention to detail
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
