Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the hospitality industry, based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple golf courses. This includes handling general ledger operations, executing journal entries, and performing bank reconciliations. While accounts payable and receivable tasks will be handled by separate teams, your role is pivotal to streamlining our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial management of 3-5 golf courses.
• Execute general ledger operations, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and submit regular journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, comparing internal records with bank statements to identify any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with separate teams handling accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to optimize accounting procedures.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Complete month-end close procedures, reviewing all financial information for accuracy.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data. Requirements • Must have proven experience in the Hospitality industry
• Previous experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role is required
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
• Proficiency in managing the General Ledger
• Skilled in preparing and posting Journal Entries
• Demonstrated capability in performing Month End Close tasks
• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle financial software
• Experience with QuickBooks is highly desirable
• Knowledge of SAP financial software is a plus
