The Sr Manager, Source to Pay is responsible for managing all Procurement-related technology and processes to drive efficiency and performance within American Airlines. With support of Procurement Excellence staff, the position will drive continuous improvement of sourcing and procurement systems and processes by analyzing trends and product developments in the market, evaluating system capabilities/offerings and enhancement opportunities, and identifying where/how operational efficiencies can be achieved
This role is a part of the Procurement team within our Finance division

Drive the development of procurement source to pay strategy, through active engagement with other functional teams
Oversee development of procurement strategic objectives and initiatives, and monitor implementation
Lead source-to-pay (S2P) process and template design to enhance and standardize procurement activities
Develop system policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities
Direct day-to-day operations of Center of Excellence team, providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, and aligning work processes in order to achieve sustainable results
Ability to thoroughly evaluate current state operations to identify gaps in processes compared to industry standards
Provide subject matter industry expertise, thought leadership and counseling insights around best-in-class supplier management practices
Develop, deliver and consolidate procurement training plans and curriculum
Outline best practices for identifying, developing, and implementing automation (e.g., RPA) opportunities
Perform other related duties as assigned
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or other related field
8 years of experience in S2P / Purchasing / Procurement process management and improvement
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related field
Experience in Airlines industry with strong commerical exposure and understanding
Experience leading a procurement organization and maturing company-wide S2P processes
CPIM/CSCP/CPSM/CIPS certification
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Strong and effective leadership skills
Excellent data-driven problem solving and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely-defined problems
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Detailed understanding of enterpise technology tools that enable sourcing and procurement execution and reporting
Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills
